Memorial Day 2014
Thanks to Clark Groover’s mapping talents, we had a great rolling loop from Rocky Ford. Nary a car passed as we explored the countryside, stopping in Sylvania for a rest break. Sylvania had a moving Memorial Day tribute consisting of crosses with the names of fallen soldiers and the war that took them lining the road.
Doug for some reason knew his way through the roads around the jail and got us back on route, which took us past this cool old store in Thomasboro. We glided back to Rocky Ford , where Doug provided cold drinks from his fancy new cooler, and we stood around swatting gnats, drinking and eating fruit salad. Another day in paradise.
